Cultural Heritage Day 2026

On Sunday, September 6, from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Hardanger Folk Museum will host an open house. There will be plenty happening both inside the museum and out in the open air museum, with a program for both adults and children.

Activities you can join in:

• Wood carving

• Making pyrografic decorations

• Making beaded bracelets

• Pressing apple juice

• Making candles

• Drawing with chalk

Also don’t miss:

• Pizza baked in the old firehouse oven

• Freshly baked milk cakes

• Handmade candy

• A visit to the café

• Exhibitions: Decorations on Wood, Bunad, Folk Costume and Hardanger Embroidery, and Folk Music

• Museum shop

Cultural Heritage Day is organized by Hardanger Folk Museum in collaboration with Folgefonn Husflidslag, Grimo Bygdekvinnelag, Solgull 4H, and Hardingfela.no.
