Folk Music Concerts Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays in July, we invite you to folk music concerts at Hardanger Folk Museum. The concerts begin at 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m., and last approximately 20 minutes. The concerts are included in the regular admission ticket.
This year, the concerts will be performed by the talented young musician Anna Margrete Emmerhoff Grønsnes. She describes herself as follows:
“My name is Anna Margrete Emmerhoff Grønsnes. I live on a fruit farm and play the Hardanger fiddle. I have been playing the Hardanger fiddle for almost nine years, and it has become a very important part of my life. The Hardanger fiddle has a unique sound that I find incredibly beautiful. I especially enjoy playing traditional folk music because it connects me to Norwegian culture. I practice a lot and am always trying to improve. This summer, I am really looking forward to performing for you! I hope you will stop by and listen!”
On Tuesday 7, Wednesday 8 and Friday 10 July, the concerts will be performed by Siri Nordgård. She is a highly skilled melodion player and won the national folk music competition, the Landskappleiken, in the melodion category in 2025.
