– a work of art between the buildings in the cluster
Every year, Hardanger Folk Museum and the Olav H. Hauge Centre organise ‘Diktardagen’ (poets day), where a new stone is laid by the poet him/herself.
The first stone was laid in 1992. However, poets day was officially established in connection with Olav H. Hauge’s 85th birthday in 1993. This giant of a poet from Ulvik was one of the masterminds of the ‘Diktarstien’ initiative. The following are represented:

The museum shop sells a beautiful book about the poets’ path, which was published by Nynorsk kultursentrum in 2017, in connection with the 25th anniversary of the path.
